డిసెంబర్ 20, శనివారం, మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు, విశాఖపట్నంలోని రైల్వే వాగన్ మెయింటెనెన్స్ వర్క్ షాపులో లేబర్ కోడ్స్ వ్యతిరేక క్యాంపెయిన్ నిర్వహించారు. లేబర్ కోడ్స్ అమలుతో ఫాసిస్టు ఆర్ఎస్ఎస్-బీజేపీ ప్రభుత్వం కార్మికులు-ఉద్యోగులను ఆధునిక బానిసత్వంలోకి నెడుతున్న సంగతిని అక్కడి కార్మికులకు వివరించారు.దేశాభివృద్ధి కోసం భారత కార్మికులు వారానికి డెబ్భై గంటలు, తొంభై గంటలు పని చేయాలని భారత పెట్టుబడిదారులు చెబుతున్న సమయంలోనే పనిగంటలను చట్టపరంగా పెంచే లేబర్ కోడ్ లను అమలు చేయడం యాదృచ్ఛికం కాదు. ఎన్ని గంటలు పనిచేసినా కార్మికుల జీవితాలలో పెద్ద మార్పులేవీ రావడం లేదని, వారు చెబుతున్న అభివృద్ధి కేవలం పెట్టుబడిదారుల అభివృద్ధేననీ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు వివరించారు.
పనిగంటలు ఒక్కటే కాదని, నూట యాభై యేళ్ళుగా ఎన్నో త్యాగాల ఫలితంగా సాధించుకున్న ఎన్నో హక్కులను ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్స్ కాలరాయనున్నాయి అన్నారు. పర్మనెంట్ ఉద్యోగాలను పర్మనెంట్ గా అంతం చేసే వెసులుబాటు ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్స్ ద్వారా ప్రవేశపెట్టారన్నారు. ఇప్పటికే కొత్త పెన్షన్ స్కీమ్ పేరుతో కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగుల పెన్షన్లను స్టాక్ మార్కెట్లలో పెడుతున్నారని, ఈ కొత్త కోడ్ లు, కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగుల ఉద్యోగభద్రతపైనా, జీవన భద్రతపైనా విషమ ప్రభావం చూపుతాయన్నారు.
ఇటువంటి లేబర్ కోడ్ లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఈరోజు అత్యంత ఉధృతమైన ఉద్యమాన్ని కనుక మనం నిర్మించకపోతే, భారత కార్మికవర్గం తీవ్రమైన నష్టాలు చవిచూడాల్సి వస్తుందని కార్యకర్తలు కార్మికులకు వివరించారు. ముప్పయ్యేళ్ళుగా చేస్తున్న ఒకరోజు, రెండు రోజుల సమ్మెల వల్ల ఒరిగిందేమీ లేదని, పైగా ఉన్న హక్కులు పోగొట్టుకున్నామన్నారు. నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మె ఒక్కటే ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్ లను ఓడించగల ఆయుధమని, దాన్ని మనం ఖచ్చితంగా చేతబట్టాలన్నారు. నిరవధిక సమ్మెకు పిలుపునిచ్చేలా యూనియన్లలో చర్చించాలని, యూనియన్ నాయకులపై ఒత్తిడి తేవాలని కార్మికులకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. కార్మికవర్గ భవిష్యత్తు అంధకారం అవుతుందా లేదా అన్నది ఈరోజు మనం చేసే పోరాటమే నిర్ణయిస్తుందన్నారు.
ఈ క్యాంపెయిన్ కు కార్మికుల నుండి విశేష స్పందన లభిస్తోంది. కార్మికులంతా ఖచ్చితంగా రంగంలోకి దిగి చేయాల్సిన పోరాటమన్న వాదనతో వారు ఏకీభవిస్తున్నారు. రానున్న రోజుల్లో విశాఖపట్నంలోని మరిన్ని చోట్ల ఈ క్యాంపెయిన్ కొనసాగుతుంది.

On Saturday, December 20, Mazdoor Bigul activists conducted an anti–Labour Codes campaign at the Railway Wagon Maintenance Workshop in Visakhapatnam. They explained to the workers there how the fascist RSS–BJP government, through the implementation of the Labour Codes, is pushing workers and employees into modern-day slavery.
At a time when Indian capitalists are saying that Indian workers should work seventy or even ninety hours a week in the name of national development, it is no coincidence that Labour Codes which legally increase working hours are being implemented. Bigul activists explained that no matter how many hours workers work, there is no real improvement in their lives, and that the so-called development being talked about is merely the development of capitalists.
They said that it is not just working hours, but many rights won through immense sacrifices over the past 150 years that will be trampled upon by these Labour Codes. They pointed out that these Labour Codes introduce provisions that effectively put a permanent end to permanent jobs. They also said that workers’ and employees’ pensions are already being diverted into the stock markets under the so-called New Pension Scheme, and that these new Codes will have disastrous effects on job security and livelihood security of workers and employees.
The activists told the workers that unless we build a militant movement against these Labour Codes today, the Indian working class will have to suffer severe consequences. They said that one-day or two-day strikes carried out over the past thirty years have achieved nothing; on the contrary, existing rights have been lost. An indefinite general strike, they asserted, is the only weapon capable of defeating these Labour Codes, and it must be taken up without fail. They appealed to workers to initiate discussions within their unions to demand a call for an indefinite general strike and to put pressure on union leaders. Whether the Indian working class is pushed into darkness or not, they said, will be decided by the struggle we undertake today.
The campaign is receiving an enthusiastic response from workers. The workers are agreeing with the argument that this is a struggle that they must definitely enter and wage. In the coming days, this campaign will continue in more locations across Visakhapatnam.
