మంగళవారం, జనవరి 27వ తేదీన విశాఖపట్నం మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు ఐదు రోజుల పనిదినం కోసం బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగులు చేస్తున్న సమ్మె వద్ద లేబర్ కోడ్స్ వ్యతిరేక ప్రచారం నిర్వహించారు.
భారతదేశపు కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగుల హక్కులపై ఫాసిస్టు బీజేపీ ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న అతిపెద్ద దాడి ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్స్ అని వివరించారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఈరోజు దేశంలోని కార్మికులంతా ఐక్యమై ఈ చట్టాలను తిప్పి కొట్టకపోతే, రేపన్న రోజు పోరాడి సాధించుకోవడానికి చట్టపరమైన హక్కులేవీ మిగలవన్నారు.కాంట్రాక్టీకరణ, ప్రయివేటీకరణ వంటి విధానాలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా బ్యాంకు యూనియన్లతో సహా సెంట్రల్ ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్లు ముప్పయ్యేళ్ళుగా ఒకట్రెండు రోజుల సమ్మెలు చేస్తూ వచ్చాయి. ఈ సమ్మెలు కాంట్రాక్టీకరణను అడ్డుకోలేకపోగా, కాంట్రాక్టీకరణ నేడు చట్టబద్ధం అయ్యే స్థితి వచ్చిందన్నారు. ఈరకంగా విఫలమైన ఒకరోజు సమ్మెలను వదిలి భారత కార్మికవర్గం ఈరోజు నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మెకు సిద్ధం కావాలని, బ్యాంక్ ఉద్యోగుల యూనియన్లు కూడా అందులో భాగం కావాలని బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు పిలుపిచ్చారు. ఫిబ్రవరి 12న సెంట్రల్ ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్లు పిలుపిచ్చిన ఒకరోజు సమ్మెను నిరవధిక సమ్మేగా మార్చేలా తమతమ యూనియన్లపై ఒత్తిడి తీసుకురావాలని ఉద్యోగులకు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
లేబర్ కోడ్ లు కనుక అమలయితే, 60 రోజుల సమ్మె నోటీస్ నిబంధన వల్ల తమ పోరాడే శక్తికి కూడా నష్టం వాటిల్లుతుందనే ఎరుక బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగులలో కనబడింది. నిరవధిక సమ్మె పట్ల కూడా వారు సుముఖత వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఖచ్చితంగా ఈ విషయాలను తమ యూనియన్లలో చర్చిస్తామని ముఖాముఖీ మాట్లాడే సందర్భంలో బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలకు చెప్పారు.

On Tuesday, January 27, Mazdoor Bigul activists in Visakhapatnam carried out a campaign against the Labour Codes at the site of the bank employees’ strike demanding a five-day workweek.
They explained that these Labour Codes constitute the biggest attack by the fascist BJP government on the rights of workers and employees in India. In this context, they said that if workers across the country do not unite today to defeat these laws, there will be no legal rights left tomorrow to fight for and win through struggle.
For the past thirty years, central trade unions, including bank unions, have been holding one- or two-day strikes against policies such as contractualization and privatization. They pointed out that these strikes have not only failed to stop contractualization, but have led to a situation where contractualization is now being legally sanctioned. The activists said that the working class of India must abandon such failed one-day strikes, and prepare for an indefinite general strike. They urged bank employees’ unions to take an active role in it. They appealed to employees to exert pressure on their respective unions to turn the one-day strike called by the central trade unions on February 12 into an indefinite strike.
The bank employees were, to a large extent, convinced that if the Labour Codes are implemented, the 60-day strike notice requirement would undermine their capacity to struggle as well. They also expressed their willingness to take part in an indefinite strike. During one-to-one discussions, they told the Bigul activists that they would certainly take these issues up for discussion within their unions.
