కార్మిక-ఉద్యోగ హక్కులపై దాడి చేసే లేబర్ కోడ్ లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పోరాడదాం!
డిసెంబర్ 14, 16 తారీఖుల్లో విశాఖపట్నంలో రైల్వే, పోస్టల్, బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగుల మధ్య మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్ లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా క్యాంపెయిన్ నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్ లు కార్మికుల సంక్షేమం కోసమేనని ప్రభుత్వం తన గోదీ మీడియా ద్వారా టముకు వేస్తున్నప్పటికీ, వాస్తవాలు అందుకు భిన్నంగా ఉన్నాయి. ఫిక్స్డ్ టర్మ్ ఎంప్లాయ్మెంట్ ద్వారా ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్ లు పర్మనెంట్ ఉద్యోగాలను పర్మనెంట్ గా లేకుండా చేస్తాయన్నారు. ఇన్ఫోసిస్ నారాయణమూర్తి వంటి పెట్టుబడిదారుల ఆకాంక్షల ప్రకారం ఎనిమిది గంటల పని స్థానంలో పన్నెండు గంటల పనిని ప్రవేశ పెట్టేందుకు మార్గం సుగమం చేస్తున్నాయని బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు వివరించారు. భారత కార్మికవర్గంపై జరుగుతున్న అతిపెద్ద దాడి ఇదనీ, ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్ ల అమలును అడ్డుకోకపోతే కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగుల పరిస్థితి అంధకారమవుతుందన్నారు.దేశంలో ఉన్న డెబ్భై కోట్ల మంది కార్మికులపై జరుగుతున్న ఇంత పెద్ద దాడిని ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు భారత కార్మికవర్గం కూడా తమ వద్దనున్న అత్యంత శక్తివంతమైన ఆయుధాన్ని ప్రయోగించాలన్నారు. నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మె ఒక్కటే ఈ లేబర్ కోడ్ ల అమలును వెనక్కి నెట్టగలదన్నారు. గత ముప్పై ఏళ్ళుగా చేస్తూ వచ్చిన ఒకరోజు, రెండ్రోజుల సార్వత్రిక సమ్మెలు ప్రభుత్వం విధానాలపై ఏ ప్రభావమూ చూపలేదని, ఈ కాలంలో కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగుల పరిస్థితి మరింత దిగజారిందని వివరించారు. కాంట్రాక్టీకరణ, ప్రైవేటీకరణ మరింత పెరిగాయన్నారు. ఒకరోజు సమ్మెల ప్రభావశీలత గత ముప్పై ఏళ్ళలో రుజువైపోయిందని, ఇకపై ఒకరోజు సమ్మెల ఆధారపడరాదని అన్నారు. ఈరోజు మేల్కొని పోరాడకపోతే నూటయాభై ఏళ్ళ త్యాగాలు వృధా అవుతాయని, కులం, మతం పేరుతో ఫాసిస్టు బీజేపీ చేస్తున్న విషపూరిత ప్రచారానికి లోను కాకుండా కార్మికులంతా ఒక్కటవ్వాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. లేబర్ కోడ్ లను వెనక్కి తీసుకునే వరకూ నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మెకు పిలుపునిచ్చేలా తమతమ యూనియన్ లపై ఒత్తిడి తేవాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.

Fight the labour codes that attack workers’ and employees’ rights
On December 14 and 16, Mazdoor Bigul activists conducted a campaign among railway, postal and bank workers in Visakhapatnam against the four labour codes.
Although the government, through its Godi media, is beating the drum claiming that these labour codes are meant for workers’ welfare, the reality is quite the opposite. Through fixed-term employment, these labour codes will mark the end of permanent employment as we know it. Bigul activists explained that, in line with the wishes of capitalists like Infosys’s Narayana Murthy, these codes are paving the way to introduce twelve hours of work in place of the eight-hour workday. They said this is the biggest attack on the Indian working class, and warned that if the implementation of these labour codes is not stopped, the future of workers and employees will descend into darkness.
To confront such a massive attack on the country’s seventy crore workers, they said the Indian working class must also use the most powerful weapon it possesses. Only an indefinite general strike, they asserted, can push back the implementation of these labour codes. They explained that one-day or two-day general strikes carried out over the past thirty years have had no impact on government policies, and that during this period the condition of workers and employees has only worsened. Contractualisation and privatisation have increased further. The ineffectiveness of one-day strikes has been proven over the past three decades, and therefore workers should no longer rely on them. They warned that if workers do not wake up and struggle today, the sacrifices of the past 150 years will go in vain. They called upon all workers to unite without falling prey to the poisonous propaganda spread by the fascist BJP in the name of caste and religion. They appealed to workers to put pressure on their respective unions to give a call for an indefinite general strike until the anti-worker, anti-employee codes are taken back.
