హైదరాబాద్లోని జీడిమెట్ల పారిశ్రామిక ప్రాంతం పరిధిలో ఉన్న సుభాష్ నగర్ బస్తీలో మార్చి 14న దేశవ్యాప్త ఎల్పిజి (LPG) సిలిండర్ల కొరత, నిత్యావసర వస్తువుల ధరల పెరుగుదలకు వ్యతిరేకంగా నిరసన ర్యాలీ జరిగింది. మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్, నవజవాన్ భారత్ సభ (NBS), దిశ విద్యార్థి సంఘం సంయుక్తంగా ఈ నిరసనను నిర్వహించాయి. గ్యాస్ పంపిణీ కేంద్రాల వద్ద బారులు తీరుతున్న క్యూలు, రోజురోజుకూ పెరుగుతున్న సిలిండర్ల బ్లాక్ మార్కెటింగ్ వల్ల కార్మిక కుటుంబాల రోజువారీ జీవితం దుర్భరమవుతోందని స్థానిక కార్మికులు గళమెత్తారు. ఇరాన్పై అమెరికా-ఇజ్రాయెల్ కూటమి సాగిస్తున్న సామ్రాజ్యవాద యుద్ధం వల్లే ప్రస్తుత ఇంధన సంక్షోభం తలెత్తిందని, దీనివల్ల చమురు, గ్యాస్ సరఫరాకు అంతరాయం ఏర్పడి ధరల పెరుగుదల భారం మరింత తీవ్రమవుతోందని యాక్టివిస్టులు పేర్కొన్నారు.
నిరసన సందర్భంగా కార్యకర్తలు కార్మికుల పోరాటాల గురించి, ఫాసిస్ట్ మోదీ ప్రభుత్వ ఉదాసీనత గురించి పాటలు పాడారు. ఈ ప్రభుత్వం ఇరాన్పై దాడిని ఖండించకపోవడమే కాకుండా, జాయవాద ఇజ్రాయెల్తో సన్నిహిత సంబంధాలను కొనసాగిస్తోందని వారు విమర్శించారు. ఈ నిరసనకు స్థానికుల నుంచి మద్దతు లభించింది, అనేకమంది కార్మికులు అక్కడ చేరి ప్రసంగాలను విన్నారు. తమ ఇళ్లలో కూడా ఎల్పిజి సిలిండర్ల కొరత గురించే ఈ పోరాటమని తెలుసుకున్న పలువురు కార్మికులు కార్యకర్తల వద్దకు వచ్చి పాంఫ్లెట్ లు అడిగి తీసుకున్నారు. సిలిండర్ల బ్లాక్ మార్కెటింగ్ను ప్రభుత్వం అరికట్టాలని, తక్కువ ధరలకే ఎల్పిజిని క్రమం తప్పకుండా అందుబాటులోకి తేవాలని, ధరల నియంత్రణ కోసం పెట్రోల్, డీజిల్పై పన్నులు తగ్గించాలని, నిత్యావసర వస్తువుల నిల్వదోపిడీపై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని యాక్టివిస్టులు డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఈ డిమాండ్లు నెరవేర్చకపోతే మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం గద్దె దిగాలని నినాదాలు కూడా చేశారు.

On March 14, a protest rally was held at Subhash Nagar Basti in Hyderabad’s Jeedimetla industrial area against the nationwide shortage of LPG cylinders and the rising prices of essential commodities. The protest was organized jointly by Mazdoor Bigul, Naujawan Bharat Sabha (NBS), and Disha Students’ Organization. Workers from the locality raised their voices against the long queues at gas distribution centers and the growing black marketing of LPG cylinders that is making daily life difficult for working-class families. Activists mentioned that the current energy crisis is due to the imperialist war being waged by the US–Israel axis against Iran, which is disrupting oil and gas supplies and worsening the burden of rising prices.
During the protest, activists sang songs about the struggles of workers and the indifference of the fascist Modi regime, which not only refuses to condemn the attack on Iran but also maintains close ties with Zionist Israel. The protest drew strong responses from the residents, with many workers gathering around to listen. Several workers approached the activists asking for pamphlets after learning that the protest was about the LPG cylinder shortage affecting their households.
The activists demanded that the government curb black marketing of cylinders, ensure regular access to LPG at fair prices, reduce taxes on petrol and diesel to control rising prices, and take strict action against hoarding of essential commodities. Protesters also raised slogans and said if these demands are not met, the Modi government must step down.
