ఒక రోజు సమ్మెతో ఒరిగిందేం లేదు!
నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మె మాత్రమే ఏకైక మార్గం!!
మార్చి 17, విజయవాడలోని పండిట్ నెహ్రు బస్టాండ్ వద్ద మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్స్ వ్యతిరేక క్యాంపెయిన్ నిర్వహించారు. లేబర్ కోడ్స్ కి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఫిబ్రవరి 12న సెంట్రల్ ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్లు ఇచ్చిన ఒకరోజు సమ్మె జరిగిన తీరును, దాని ఫలితాన్ని మూల్యాంకనం చేసుకుని, మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం లేబర్ కోడ్స్ వెనక్కి తీసుకునే వరకూ నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మె కోసం ఏకం కావాలని కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగులకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
గత మూడు దశాబ్దాలుగా సెంట్రల్ ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్ల నాయకత్వం సమ్మేలా పేరిట చేస్తున్న కార్యక్రమాలు లాంఛనప్రాయమైనవే తప్ప మరొకటి కాదు. పేరుకి చేసే ఈ ఒకట్రెండు రోజుల లాంఛనాల వల్ల బూర్జువా వర్గానికి చాకిరీ చేసే ఏ ప్రభుత్వానికీ కనీసం చీమ కుట్టినట్టైనా ఉండదు. ఈ ఒక్కరోజు సమ్మెని ప్రభుత్వం సెలవు దినంగా పరిగణించి వదిలేస్తుంది. మోదీ ప్రభుత్వానికైతే ఇది అసలు సమస్యే కాదు. వాస్తవానికి, మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం అధికారంలోకి వచ్చినప్పటి నుంచి, కార్మిక సంఘాలు ఈ లాంఛనాలను కూడా పాటించడం లేదు. నల్లబ్యాడ్జీలు పెట్టుకుని పనిచేయడం, భోజన విరామాలలో సమావేశాలు నిర్వహించడం, చిన్నచిన్న నిరసనలు చేయడాన్నే సమ్మెలుగా భ్రమింపజేయడం ద్వారా శ్రామిక వర్గం దగ్గర ఉన్న సమ్మె అనే కీలక ఆయుధం యొక్క విలువను తగ్గించే ధోరణి పెరుగుతోంది. ఫిబ్రవరి 12న జరిగిన సమ్మె కూడా ఈ ధోరణిలోనే కొనసాగింది.
ఈ సమ్మె జరిగిన తీరు కారణంగా కార్మికులు, ఉద్యోగుల్లో నిరాశ ఎక్కువైంది. కేంద్ర కార్మిక సంఘాల నాయకత్వం పట్ల వారి అసంతృప్తి పెరిగింది. మరే ఇతర దేశవ్యాప్త రాజకీయ నాయకత్వం గానీ, ప్రత్యామ్నాయం గానీ లేకపోవడంతో వారు ధైర్యం కోల్పోతున్నారు. ముందుకెళ్ళే దారేదీ వారికి కనిపించడం లేదు. ఇటువంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో మనం ఏం చేయాలి? ఒకవైపు మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకొచ్చిన కార్మిక వ్యతిరేక నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా నిరవధిక సార్వత్రిక సమ్మెకు పిలుపునివ్వాలని కేంద్ర కార్మిక సంఘాల నాయకత్వంపై క్రమపద్ధతిలో ఒత్తిడి తీసుకురావాలి. ఇది లేకుండా లేబర్ కోడ్లను వెనక్కి తీసుకునేందుకు, ఉపాధి హామీ (MNREGA) చట్టాన్ని రద్దు చేసే కుట్రని ఆపేందుకు అవసరమైన ఒత్తిడి తీసుకురాలేమని కార్యకర్తలు ఉద్యోగులకు వివరించారు.
అంతే కాకుండా దీన్ని చిన్న విషయంగా పరిగణించవద్దని, మోదీ ప్రభుత్వం ఈ నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్లను అమలు చెయ్యడానికి కేవలం కొద్ది రోజులు మాత్రమే ఉందని కాబట్టి లేబర్ కోడ్ల వ్యతిరేక ఉద్యమంలో పాల్గొనమని ఉద్యోగులకు, కార్మికులకు కార్యకర్తలు పిలుపినిచ్చారు.

Nothing has been achieved with the one-day strike!
An indefinite general strike is the only way!!
On March 17, Mazdoor Bigul activists conducted a campaign against the four Labour Codes at the Pandit Nehru Bustand in Vijayawada. Assessing the way the one-day nationwide strike called by the Central Trade Unions on February 12 against these Labour Codes was carried out and its outcome, they appealed to workers and employees to unite for an indefinite general strike until the Modi government withdraws the Labour Codes.
For the last three decades, the initiatives taken by the leadership of the central trade unions in the name of strikes are nothing but a formality. Because of these one or two-day symbolic gestures, no government serving the bourgeoisie will be even slightly affected. The government has declared the strike day a holiday. This isn’t the Modi government’s job alone. In fact, ever since the Modi government came to power, the trade unions haven’t been following even these formalities. There’s a growing tendency to devalue the vital weapon of strike in the hands of the working class by opting for token protests like working with black badges, holding meetings during lunch breaks, and treating small protests as strikes. The strike on February 12 continued this trend.
The strike has left employees and workers more dissatisfied. Their dissatisfaction with the leadership of the central trade unions grew. They’re losing courage due to the lack of nationwide political leadership or an alternative. They don’t see a way forward. What should we do in such situations? On one hand, the leadership of the central trade unions should be systematically pressured to call for an indefinite general strike against the four anti-worker labour codes introduced by the Modi government. Activists explained to employees that without this, they wouldn’t be able to build necessary pressure to withdraw Labour Codes and to stop the conspiracy to repeal the Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).
Activists also appealed to employees and workers not to take this lightly and join the movement against labour codes, as the Modi government has only a few days left to implement these four labour codes.
