నోయిడా, మానేసర్ కార్మికులు తమ హక్కుల కోసం చేస్తున్న సమ్మెని అణిచివేస్తూ కార్మికులపై పోలీసుల అమానుష దాడిని, సమ్మెలో పాల్గొంటున్న మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలని అరెస్ట్ చేయడాన్ని వ్యతిరేకిస్తూ మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్, నవజవాన్ భారత్ సభ కార్యకర్తలు ఆదివారం సాయంత్రం విశాఖపట్నంలో నిరసన ప్రదర్శన నిర్వహించారు.

గత కొన్ని రోజులుగా నోయిడా, మానేసర్ కంపెనీల్లో కార్మికులు పనిగంటల తగ్గించాలని, జీతాలు పెంచాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తూ సమ్మె చేస్తున్నారు. ఇంత పెద్ద ఎత్తున యజమానులు ఏమీ స్పందించలేదు. మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు మొదటి నుండీ సమ్మెలో పాల్గొంటూ సమ్మెలో భాగం అయ్యారు. సమ్మె అంటేనే భయపడే యజమానులు, పోలీసులతో కార్మికుల పై అమానుషంగా దాడి చేయించారు. పోలీసులు పెట్టుబడిదారుల ప్రైవేటు సైన్యంలో ప్రవర్తిస్తూ సమ్మెను అణిచివేయడానికి అనేక రకాలుగా ప్రయత్నం చేస్తున్నారు. సమ్మెకు మద్దతు తెలుపుతూ, అందులో భాగమయిన మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలను పోలీసులు లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకుని, శనివారం సాయంత్రం కార్యకర్తలు సమ్మె నుండి తిరిగి వెళ్తుండగా మెట్రో స్టేషన్ నుండి బలవంతంగా లాక్కెళ్లారు. మహిళా పోలీసులు లేకుండానే ముగ్గురు మహిళా కార్యకర్తలను డీటెయిన్ చేసారు. నిన్న రాత్రి నుండి ఇప్పటివరకు ఇతర కార్యకర్తలు పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ వద్దకు చేరి ఎంత డిమాండ్ చేసిన కార్యకర్తల ఆచూకీ తెలపకుండా, వారిని విడుదల చేయకుండా పోలీసులు దౌర్జన్యంగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారన్నారు.

తమ హక్కుల కోసం పోరాడుతున్న కార్మికుల సమ్మెను అణిచివేయడానికి యూపీ పోలీసులు అమానుషంగా దాడి చేస్తున్నారని, ఇది కేవలం కార్మిక ఉద్యమాన్ని అణిచివేయడానికి చేస్తున్న ఒక ఉద్దేశపూర్వకమైన ప్రయత్నమే అని బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు అన్నారు.

పని గంటల పెరుగుదల, అమానవీయ పని పరిస్థితులు, ధరల పెరుగుదల, నిరుద్యోగం వంటి సమస్యలపై సెంట్రల్ ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్లు నిర్ణయాత్మక పోరాటాలకి సిద్ధం కావట్లేదు. దీంతో దేశంలో అనేక ప్రాంతాల్లో ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్ నాయకత్వం లేకుండానే కార్మికులు స్వయంగా సమ్మె చేస్తున్నారు. వేతనాల పెరుగుదల, 8 గంటల పనిదినం వంటి డిమాండ్లతో కార్మికులు సమ్మెకి దిగుతున్నారు.

మరో పక్క ఫాసిస్ట్ బిజెపి ప్రభుత్వాలు కార్మికుల కనీస హక్కులను కాలరాస్తూ నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్లు తీసుకురావడం వల్ల కార్మికుల్లో అసంతృప్తి పెరుగుతోంది. ఈ అసంతృప్తికి భయపడి, పెట్టుబడిదారీ వర్గం పోలీసు అణచివేతకు పాల్పడుతోందని అన్నారు. మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తల అన్యాయమైన అరెస్టును, కార్మికులపై పోలీసుల అణిచివేతను న్యాయప్రియులైన పౌరులంతా ఏకమై ఖండించాలన్నారు. పోలీసులు వెంటనే బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలను విడుదల చేయాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

Condemn the brutal police attack on workers!

Mazdoor Bigul and Naujawan Bharat Sabha activists held a protest in Visakhapatnam on Sunday evening, opposing the brutal police attack on workers and the arrest of Mazdoor Bigul activists who were supporting the workers’ in their struggle.

For the past few days, workers in companies in Noida and Manesar have been going on strikes demanding reduced working hours and higher wages. Despite such a large-scale movement, the employers have not responded. Mazdoor Bigul activists have been participating in the strike from the beginning and have become part of it. Employers, who fear strikes, have used the police to carry out inhumane attacks on workers. Acting like a private army of the capitalists, the police are trying in various ways to crush the strike.

The police targeted Mazdoor Bigul activists who have been active in the strike, and forcibly picked them up from a metro station on Saturday evening while they were returning from the protest. Three women activists were detained without the presence of women police officers. Since last night, other activists have been waiting at the police station and demanding information, but the police haven’t given a shred of informationa—neither have they revealed their whereabouts nor have they released them.

Bigul activists stated that the Uttar Pradesh police are brutally attacking workers to suppress their strike for rights, and that this is a deliberate attempt to crush the workers’ movement.

Central trade unions are not preparing for decisive struggles issues such as increasing working hours, inhumane working conditions, rising prices, and unemployment. As a result, in many parts of the country, workers are organizing strikes on their own without trade union leadership. They are striking with demands such as wage increases, and an 8-hour workday.

Meanwhile, the fascist BJP governments are undermining even the basic rights of workers by introducing four labour codes, leading to growing dissatisfaction among workers. Fearing this unrest, the capitalist class is resorting to police repression. They called on all justice-loving citizens to unite and condemn the unjust arrest of Mazdoor Bigul activists, and demanded their immediate release. They also called on the people to condemn police repression on workers.
