హైదరాబాద్లోని కోటి ఎస్బీఐ మెయిన్ బ్రాంచ్ వద్ద ఐదు రోజుల పని దినాల కోసం బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగులు చేపట్టిన సమ్మె వేదికగా నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్లను ఎండగట్టిన ‘మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్’జనవరి 27న, హైదరాబాద్లోని కోటి బ్యాంక్ స్ట్రీట్లో ఉన్న ఎస్బీఐ మెయిన్ బ్రాంచ్ వద్ద యునైటెడ్ ఫోరమ్ ఆఫ్ బ్యాంక్ యూనియన్స్ (UFBU) ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రభుత్వ రంగ బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగులు ఒక రోజు సమ్మె నిర్వహించారు. ప్రభుత్వం ఇప్పటికే అంగీకరించినప్పటికీ, అమలు చేయకుండా నిలిపివేసిన ఐదు రోజుల పని దినాల డిమాండ్ను తక్షణమే అమలు చేయాలని కోరుతూ ఈ సమ్మె జరిగింది. ఈ సమ్మె సందర్భంగా, పాంఫ్లెట్ల పంపిణీని అడ్డుకోవడానికి సెక్యూరిటీ గార్డులు ప్రయత్నించినప్పటికీ, మజ్దూర్ బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు వాటిని 1,500 మందికి పైగా ఉద్యోగులకు అందజేసి, ఫాసిస్టు మోదీ ప్రభుత్వ నాలుగు లేబర్ కోడ్లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ప్రచారాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. కొత్త లేబర్ కోడ్లు ఇటువంటి సమ్మెలను నేరంగా పరిగణించేలా రూపొందించబడ్డాయని, ఈ కోడ్లు అమలు లోకి వస్తే బ్యాంకు కార్మికులు తమ డిమాండ్ల కోసం సమ్మె చేసే చట్టపరమైన హక్కును కోల్పోతారని కార్యకర్తలు హెచ్చరించారు.
UFBUలోని తొమ్మిది యూనియన్లలో కేవలం రెండు మాత్రమే అధికారికంగా ఈ నిరంకుశ చట్టాలను వ్యతిరేకిస్తుండటాన్ని ఈ ప్రచారం ఎత్తిచూపింది. మొత్తం కార్మిక వర్గానికి ముప్పుగా మారిన ఈ కోడ్లపై స్పష్టమైన వైఖరి తీసుకోవాలని తమ యూనియన్ నాయకత్వంపై ఒత్తిడి తీసుకురావాలని బిగుల్ కార్యకర్తలు ఉద్యోగులను కోరారు. బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగుల సమస్యలను మిగిలిన కార్మిక పోరాటాల నుండి వేరు చేయడం వల్ల ప్రభుత్వ ‘విభజించి పాలించు’ విధానానికే బలం చేకూరుతుందని వారు వాదించారు. తమ సంక్షేమం పట్ల ప్రభుత్వం వహిస్తున్న ఉదాసీనత మొత్తం కార్మిక వ్యతిరేక ఎజెండాలో భాగమేనని పలువురు ఉద్యోగులు అంగీకరించారు. ఫాసిస్టు ప్రభుత్వ విధానాలను ఓడించి, శ్రామిక ప్రజలందరి హక్కులను కాపాడుకోవాలంటే సంఘటిత మరియు అసంఘటిత రంగాలను ఏకం చేస్తూ సాగించే సమగ్రమైన ఐక్య పోరాటం ఒక్కటే మార్గమని ఈ సందర్భంగా నొక్కి చెప్పారు.

Mazdoor Bigul Exposes Labor Codes at Bank Employees’ Strike for Five-Day Work Week at SBI Main Branch, Koti, Hyderabad
On January 27, the SBI Main Branch in Bank Street, Koti, Hyderabad, public sector bank employees observed a one-day strike under the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU). The strike was to demand the implementation of the five-day work week, a demand already agreed upon by the government but stalled. During this strike, Mazdoor Bigul activists conducted a campaign against the Fascist Modi government’s four labor codes, distributing pamphlets to over 1,500 employees despite initial resistance from security guards who tried to block the outreach. The activists warned that the new labor codes are designed to criminalize such strikes, emphasizing that if these codes take effect, bank workers would lose the legal right to strike for their demands.
The campaign highlighted a critical gap in the struggle: only two out of the nine unions within the UFBU have officially opposed these draconian laws. Bigul activists urged employees to pressurize their union leadership to take a decisive stand against these codes, which threaten the entire working class. They argued that isolating bank-specific issues from broader labor struggles only strengthens the state’s “divide and rule” strategy. Many employees expressed agreement, acknowledging that the government’s indifference to their welfare is a symptom of a larger anti-worker agenda. It was emphasized that only a holistic struggle, uniting both organized and unorganized sectors, can defeat the fascist government’s policies and safeguard the rights of all working people.
